If you do not meet these requirements, you may not use Orbaris.
Orbaris is an online multiplayer disc-placement strategy game available at play.orbaris.com. The service includes:
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the service at any time.
Registration requires a valid email address and a password meeting our strength requirements (minimum 8 characters including uppercase, lowercase, number, and symbol). A username is auto-generated on registration but may be customised — usernames must be unique across all accounts. Your country is detected automatically from your IP address at registration if you do not select one manually; you may change this at any time in your Profile.
The “Remember this device” option at login stores a persistent session on your device. This is opt-in and unchecked by default. Do not enable this feature on public or shared devices. You may view and revoke trusted devices at any time from your Profile page. A maximum of 10 trusted devices may be registered per account.
Each person may hold one registered account. Creating multiple accounts to manipulate rankings, exploit bonuses, or evade restrictions is prohibited and will result in termination of all associated accounts.
Usernames and Tag Team names must be unique, must not impersonate other individuals, organisations, or trademarks, and must not contain offensive or harmful content. Usernames may contain only letters, numbers, and underscores. Tag Team names may contain letters, numbers, and spaces. We reserve the right to require changes that violate these requirements.
A 1v1 game on a 7×6 grid. Players may challenge a registered opponent on a different device in real time using a shareable 6-character join code, play hot-seat on the same device, or play against an AI opponent. A draw occurs when the board fills with no winner — each player receives 1 participation point and the win streak resets.
A battle royale format supporting 3 to 20 players. Players join public queues by player count; bots automatically fill any empty slots when the timer expires. The last surviving player wins the prize pool.
Each human player partners with one AI bot. The difficulty and style of all bots in a session is uniform — set by the first human to join the queue — so every team is evenly matched. Each human player must have a persistent Tag Team name set in their profile before joining. This name is unique, permanent, and associated with all Tag Team records and statistics. Team names cannot be duplicated across accounts once they have accumulated points on the leaderboard.
A host player generates a 6-character join code and shares it with invited players. Invited players enter the code on their own device to connect. The host’s device runs all game logic and broadcasts state to connected players. Remaining slots may be filled with bots.
In real-time sessions, one player acts as the “host” and runs all game logic and AI. Other players are “guests” who send their moves to the host and receive game state updates. If the host disconnects during a game, host duties automatically transfer to the next eligible player — the game continues without restarting. This transfer is automated and cannot be manually assigned.
Orbaris is free to play with full access to all gameplay features, leaderboards, and competitive ranking. Free accounts are shown third-party advertisements during gameplay.
A premium subscription removes advertising. Premium status provides no competitive advantage — all scoring, ranking, and gameplay mechanics are identical for free and premium users.
New accounts receive 5 points on registration, with an additional 10 points awarded automatically when your country profile is completed (whether by manual selection or IP auto-detection). These bonuses are awarded once per account.
After completing a connect-four during Elimination games, free users may optionally watch a short advertisement to earn bonus points. Declining carries no penalty and does not affect other players.
Orbaris includes a pre-written in-game messaging system allowing players to send short messages to other players in the same session from three categories: Taunt, Respect, and React. By using this feature, you agree that:
Every player has a publicly visible Quality Score (0–100) calculated from their game history including opponent types and bot difficulty levels. Tag Team players also have a Bot Integrity Score reflecting the average difficulty of bots they have faced. These scores are designed to make the integrity of every player’s record visible to the community. They are informational, not punitive.
Timed game modes enforce a move clock. Missing two consecutive turns results in automatic forfeiture. Disconnection and inactivity are treated identically to deliberate forfeiture. This is an intended competitive mechanic.
Violations of fair play rules may result in immediate account suspension or permanent termination without refund.
